INFORMATION
MY TASK
Having improved a lot during the last year in the HKU I was tasked with making a puzzle game. In this game I focused heavily on the aesthetics and the game play. I also tried a lot of new things, like making every 3D object myself and designer a interesting mechanic.
PROCESS
Because I now had some experience with making game the process of this game was very smoothly. I started with thinking of a cool mechanic, which was controlling the direction of certain boxes in the level and make them push buttons to open the door for the next level. I then made my own 3D models and changed the overall feel of the game to make it look like you were in a tomb.
RESULT
In the end it looked significantly better than all the game I made before, this was because I learned how to apply postprocessing and made all the 3D models myself, which meant I could make them to fit the theme very well. I also invested a lot of time in the design of the levels which made the puzzle very fun to solve.
